As I go through the game again, I’ll post the most likely places you may be missing gems and give you some pointers. At the moment I’m in the Peace Keepers homeworld:
Cliff Town – It’s easy to miss gems here. When you make it over to the high place with the final dragon, go and stand facing the entrance to the level. There’s a small ledge to which you can glide and find lots of gems!
Doctor Shemp – Finding all of the gems in this level was a bit tricky. Once you reach the first whirlwind, you need to go past it, right to the end of the path. Turn right and there’s a little nook in which there’s another whirlwind. Let it take you up to the top, and there will be some gems on a platform. Look across to the island with the purple gem. It takes some gliding to get there, but if you are careful, you should just make it.
